Demolition of existing Boiler House within live North Manchester General Hospital site. The project included protective works to enable demolition and considerable civil engineering works post demolition.
Scope of Works:
- Asbestos removal
- Erection of bird cage scaffold beneath roof of building in order to protect mechanical services which remained live during and after demolition
- Careful demolition of structure above and in the vicinity of aforementioned services
- Demolish remainder of buildings to basement floor level
- Adapt and reconfigure scaffolding to form temporary weatherproof structures around live services
