Freeley has successfully demolished a derelict high school, completing the work three and a half weeks ahead of schedule.
The project has cleared the former Offerton High School site in Stockport, including two vacant buildings – Bridge College in Woodlands Drive, and the Curzon Building in The Fairway, which borders Castle Hill High School and Lisburne School.

“The team worked collaboratively with us and always did what they could to assist when issues arose. The communication with the team was excellent throughout the project. The site was always maintained to a high standard and met health and safety standards.”

The early completion underlines the effectiveness of our approach and how collaborative working can achieve positive outcomes for our clients as well as the local community.”
As part of the project, Freeley hired a local resident for the contract, and used local subcontractors and suppliers. Continuing its social value commitment, Freeley also donated to local charities, including Stockport Foodbank’s Offerton branch, The Wellspring, Stockport Lads Club JFC and St Winifred’s RC Primary School.
